چکیده

The adsorptive aqueous removal of Sr2+ and Cs+ was performed using zeolitic materials prepared with fused coal fly ash (CFA) a hydrothermal method. influence the mass ratio NaOH to CFA 0.3-1.2 in synthesis material evaluated its crystallization properties by X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis. synthesized at 0.6-1.2 could be identified have same location as XRD peaks Na-A zeolite 2θ = 7.18 - 34.18. Characterization of CFB-Coal Fly Ash Zeolitic Materials and Their Potential Use in Wastewater Treatment

Two different fly ash (FA) samples were tested for their ability to give synthetic zeolitic products. Polish bituminous (PB) and South African (SA) coal fly ash (FA) samples, derived from pilot-scale circulated fluidized bed (CFB) combustion facilities, have been utilized as raw materials. The two FAs underwent a hydrothermal activation with 1M NaOH solution at 90°C for 24 h. Two different FA/N...

Immobilization of heavy metals in polluted soils by the addition of zeolitic material synthesized from coal fly ash.

The use of zeolitic material synthesized from coal fly ash for the immobilization of pollutants in contaminated soils was investigated in experimental plots in the Guadiamar Valley (SW Spain). This area was affected by a pyrite slurry spill in April 1998. Although reclamation activities were completed in a few months, residual pyrite slurry mixed with soil accounted for relatively high leachabl...

Production geopolymer materials by coal fly ash

Coal ash is the main waste from power plant. It is estimated that the consumption of the coal for power plant will increase to 240 million tons each year and the coal ash wastes will produce more than 2 million tons per year. Although the utilization of coal fly ash can be reached 74.1%, large amount of coal fly ash and bottom ash still cannot be utilized. The purpose of this research is to dev...

Calcium Effect on Arsenic (V) Adsorption onto Coal Fly Ash

Batch tests indicated that arsenic (As) leaching is significantly affected by the calcium concentration in fly ash in the alkaline pH range. Arsenic leaching from low calcium fly ash from eastern bituminous coal increased with increase of pH in the alkaline pH range (pH 7 – 12). Fly ash from eastern bituminous coal with a slightly higher calcium content exhibited an arsenic leaching peak at pH ...
